Professional drummers to play John Bonham tribute gigs

Posted by Martyn Hopkins
Professional drummers from throughout the course of rock history are to gather to commemorate the life of John Bonham.
The Led Zeppelin drummer died at the age of 32 in 1980 and Bonzo: The Groove Remains The Same will celebrate his musical work.
Steven Adler, who drums for Guns N' Roses, Black Sabbath's Vinny Appice and the Red Hot Chill Peppers stickman Chad Smith are all due to appear at the concert.
Whitesnake's Brian Tichy said of the gigs: "It's all about [paying tribute] to rock's greatest drummer, John Henry Bonham."
The performances will be held on January 12th and 13th 2011 and those who want to become a great drummer would be well advised to check it out.
His son Jason Bonham followed in his footsteps into music and appeared as the drummer for Led Zeppelin when the band played a reunion gig in London in 2007.
