London Music Show 2010 cancelled

This year's London Music Show will not take place as planned, it has been confirmed.

Organisers of the show, which was due to take place at the ExCel in October, said difficult market conditions are behind the cancellation.

Brands such as Roland had been due to appear, but Future - the body behind the event - said the London Music Show will be staged next year.

"We're absolutely determined that the first ever London Music Show will offer public and trade visitors and exhibitors the most exciting and interactive music show in the UK," it commented.

Future and the Music Industries Association added that plans for the 2011 event are already being put in place and details will be released in due course.

Guitarist Joe Bonamassa, who has played with the likes of Joe Cocker and Eric Clapton, was among the world-class musicians set to take part in the show this autumn.
