Brian Wilson offers songwriting advice

Aspiring musicians have been handed advice on how to write a song by music legend Brian Wilson.
The former Beach Boy, who has since established himself as a critically-acclaimed solo artist, said songwriters should never give up.
Speaking to Smashing Interviews Magazine, he stated that if a composer comes up with an idea, they should always see it right through until the end.
"Don't quit halfway through the song," Wilson stated.
The veteran musician added that modern digital technology has made the recording process much easier than it was in the 1960s.
Indeed, Wilson said loading tracks on a 24-track digital machine is a lot simpler than working with a four-track tape recorder.
He added that modern devices have also made it easier for musicians to get the "right sound" on every instrument.
Wilson made his name in the 1960s with hits such as I Get Around, Fun, Fun, Fun and Surfin' USA, although he is best remembered for the seminal Pet Sounds album, which heavily influenced acts such as The Beatles.
