Joe Stilgoe is an incredible pianist. His style has been likened to Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans and Les Dawson. Taking inspiration from his songwriter father – Richard Stilgoe – and the sound of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Harry Connick Jr, Joe has honed a cabaret style that makes intricate and challenging pieces look effortless and fun.
His debut album, I Like This One, is out now and getting brilliant reviews. We hooked up with Joe – complete with a brand new top hat – for a special performance on the Roland V-Piano. He played us the title track from his album, giving just a taste of his talent. If you’ve not heard Joe before you have to watch this – you can thank us later.
