MC-909 Editor is an application that lets you use your computer to make settings for the MC-909 parameters (Patch, Rhythm, Part Information, and System). For detailed information about this program, start the program, then go to the "Help" menu and click "MC-909 Editor Manual." (System Requirements) Operating System Mac OS 8.6 and 9.x Mac OS X 10.2 or later CPU/Clock PowerPC G3, 500 MHz or better RAM 128 MB or more (256 MB or more is recommended) Display/Colors 1024 x 768 pixels, 32,000 colors or better Free space required on hard disk 60 MB or more. Other OMS 2.0 or later (Mac OS 8.6 and 9.x) Although Roland has tested numerous configurations, and has determined that on average, a computer system similar to that described above will permit normal operation of the MC-909 Editor, Roland cannot guarantee that a given computer can be used satisfactorily with the MC-909 Editor based solely on the fact that it meets the above requirements. This is because there are too many other variables that may influence the processing environment, including differences in motherboard design and the particular combination of other devices involved. (How to Install) Download and run MC909Editor100.sit, and double-click the installer icon. (Note ) A separate MIDI interface is required in order to connect the MC-909 with the computer. Using MIDI cables, connect both the MIDI IN and MIDI OUT connectors on the MIDI interface connected to your computer to the MIDI connectors on the MC-909. When using MC-909 Editor, you must press the MC-909's [MENU] button, open "MIDI" - "MIDI Rx," and set the Remote Keyboard Switch to "OFF." Then open "MIDI" - "MIDI Tx," and set the Soft Through to "OFF." If you will be using OMS, you must first complete OMS settings for the MC-909, and turn AppleTalk "Off," restart Mac OS before use. Roland reserves the right to make changes to these programs and files without prior notice. *Macintosh is a registered trademark of Apple Computer, Inc. *MacOS is a trademark of Apple Computer, Inc. * OMS is a registered trademark of Opcode Systems, Inc.
